Linux system administrator - opportunity for juniors (m/f) - Pardubice branch

Do you want to develop your career in Linux administration and participate in the operation of a stable server infrastructure?

We are looking for a new colleague to join our admin team who has a good technical background and wants to move on professionally. You will become part of a team responsible for the administration, maintenance and oversight of Linux servers and infrastructure applications. We are also happy to give a chance to a very junior candidate who has the necessary fundamentals and the desire to gain experience.

The problem we're solving:

• The server infrastructure must be stable, available and sustainable in the long term.
• Key operational parameters need to be continuously monitored and evaluated.
• Changes must be documented and communicated within the team.
• Infrastructure systems and applications must work reliably across the environment.

 What are you gonna do?

• administer, maintain and supervise the Linux servers and server operating systems entrusted to them
• monitor key operational parameters and ensure availability of systems and services
• manage Linux infrastructure systems and applications and document changes
• Collaborate with teammates and other IT teams and managers

 What is important to us?

• completed secondary/university education
• knowledge of scripting (e.g. Bash, Python)
• Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SMTP, etc.)
• Experience with web server and reverse proxy administration (Apache, NginX, etc.)
• experience with MySQL database server administration (MariaDB)
• experience in monitoring systems and applications
• English at an advanced level
• general overview of IT technologies
• ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team

You will have an advantage if you have experience or knowledge:

• KVM-based virtualization
• containerization (Docker, Podman)
• automation of systems (e.g. Ansible)
• managing and deploying applications to Kubernetes
• administration of PostgreSQL database servers
• load balancing (LVS, HAProxy, Keepalived)
• DNS system administration (Bind, Knot DNS)
• mail server management (Postfix)
